Strip Wax vs. Non Strip Wax

Strip wax, warm wax or soft wax and non strip wax, hot wax or hard wax are two primary types of waxing products used for hair removal, each with distinct characteristics, uses, and suitability for different areas of the body.

Strip wax is applied in a thin layer over the skin and is removed using cloth or paper strips. It adheres well to both the hair and the skin, making it effective for removing fine and short hairs. Strip wax is typically used on larger body areas such as the legs and back. Its ability to cover large areas quickly makes it a popular choice for these areas. However, because it also pulls on the skin, strip wax can be more painful and may cause irritation, especially on sensitive areas.

Non strip wax is applied in a thicker layer and allowed to cool and harden on the skin. Once it solidifies, it is removed by lifting the edge and pulling it off, without the need for cloth or paper strips. Non strip wax adheres only to the hair, not the skin, making it less painful and more suitable for sensitive areas. It is often used on smaller, more delicate areas such as the face, underarms, and bikini line. The gentler nature of non strip wax reduces the risk of irritation and is better for individuals with sensitive skin or those who experience pain more acutely.
